The Choir

Sing4Fun Choir - The South Wigston Community Choir, led by our Musical Director Katy Dent, and accompanied by Lydia Hind, blends voices of all backgrounds and abilities who come together to sing for enjoyment.

The choir meets weekly, during school term time, and singing some familiar songs, will warm-up their voices before moving on to singing a mixture of styles including rounds, English folk songs, African and Hebrew songs, popular classics and lullabies.

Sing4Fun regularly perform concerts throughout the year, in and around the South Wigston area. This began just 12 weeks after the Choir was started when Sing4Fun gave their first concert in St Thomas's Church, South Wigston to rousing applause. The audience of over 100 family and friends were amazed at what had been achieved in such a short time.

"I never knew my mum could sing, wonderful"
"After such a short time, what a beautiful sound"
"Singing to an audience is something I thought would never happen, - marvellous"
